Overview

The Kathmandu Pokhara Chitwan tour itinerary provides you an opportunity to immerse in Nepal's rich culture, natural beauty, and wildlife, and is an 8 days long adventure. This itinerary is also known as the golden triangle tour of Nepal, as you will visit different heritage sites of Kathmandu, beautiful lakes of Pokhara, and finally do safaris in the Lush jungle of Chitwan National Park.

Itinerary

Day 1:

You will meet your driver at the Tribhuvan International Airport at which point he will transfer you to your hotel. Enjoy the sights of Kathmandu congested roads on the journey. Relax and tour the city after checking in. You will also experience a Nepali welcome dinner (Daal Bhat and cultural dances) in the evening. This is as well the right moment to talk to your guide about your upcoming adventures. Sleep it over regarding tomorrow.

Day 2:

Start with breakfast and spend the day in Kathmandu visiting its tourist sites. The first view of the entire Kathmandu Valley can be seen by going to Swayambhunath Stupa. Next, take a tour to Pashupatinath where Hindus practice their rituals and cremations are performed in the open. Go to Boudhanath Stupa, among the largest Buddhist stupas and circle around the stupa and spin the prayer wheels. It ends at Kathmandu Durbar Square with Newari architecture and old temples such as the House of Kumari. You can go back to your hotel or continue sightseeing the city late in the evening.

Day 3:

You have now come to the end of your time in Kathmandu, so it is time to board a short flight over the stunning surrounding Himalayas bound to the city of Pokhara after breakfast. After arrival, move to your hotel close to Phewa Lake. Relax and tour the surrounding attractions such as Devi Fall, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, Barahi Temple and even take a boat ride at Phewa Lake. Spend the evening in the City that has lively cafes and restaurants on Lakeside.

Day 4:

Wake early in morning to visit Sarangkot hill to see an amazing sunrise over Annapurna mountain range. Next, visit the International Mountain Museum, to get familiar with the history of mountaineering in the region, and visit Seti River Gorge. Later in the afternoon, see the beautiful view of Pokhara and the Himalayan mountains by going to Bindhyabasini Temple and World Peace Pagoda. During the afternoon, you may do adventurous activities such as paragliding or zip-lining (at extra cost).

Day 5:

After breakfast transfer (5-6 hours) to Chitwan national park; traveling via charming countrysides and small towns. After arrival, you will have your welcome drink and lunch at your hotel. Subsequently, you will be available to walk along Taren village, see ancient mud houses, and get acquainted with the local lifestyle. In the evening, have dinner and Tharu cultural performance with folk songs, and dances by the firelight.

Day 6:

Commence the day by jeep safari in the Chitwan National Park to see wildlife like the rhino, tiger and the elephant. The afternoon is spent on a canoe ride on Rapti River with crocodiles, gharials and water birds. You will visit the Elephant Breeding Center and understand about Elephant conservation as well.

Day 7:

Have breakfast, and start your way back to Kathmandu. It is a drive (5-6 hours approx.) or the short flight of 25 minutes between Bharatpur and Kathmandu. In the evening we will have a farewell dinner at a typical Nepali restaurant with a cultural program.

Day 8:

Have breakfast and pack off your stuff so as to be brought to the Tribhuvan international airport to fly off home. This is our goodbye to you and we hope to have you once have you back in Nepal.
