Overview
One of the most beautiful and remote trekking destinations in all of Nepal is the Gokyo Lake Trek. This less-traveled path of the Sagarmatha region, which is sometimes overlooked by the standard EBC trek, brings you to the remote areas of the Everest highland. People who have made the trip to see Gokyo Lake never regretted it since, in the end, all the difficulties and physical efforts are worthwhile.
Perhaps the most stunning and barely accessible lakes are the Gokyo Lakes, which are among the highest Himalayan freshwater lake systems in the world. Hindus have religious significance to the Gokyo in addition to its ecological significance. Every year, devotees of Hinduism travel to these holy glacial lakes. Due to its religious significance, it has received great care, and the locals of the region also help maintain its pristine quality.
While there are a couple of great seasons to do this trek, some have better features than others. Autumn is unquestionably the ideal season to see the Gokyo Lakes. From a nearby viewpoint, you can take in an unobstructed view of the Gokyo Lakes during the season of autumn. Additionally, you will experience clear weather for the whole walk. The six stunning turquoise lakes that make up the Gokyo Lakes are 5,000 m above sea level.
We will continue on the same route as the Everest Base Camp till we arrive at Namche Bazaar, which is a breathtakingly lovely town. We will next go in the direction of the Phortse Thanga. You can see the remote Khumbu region with fewer people because this trail is less crowded than the Everest Base Camp journey. Though not as busy as Everest, this trekking location might get a little full during the busiest times of the year. You should anticipate encountering many tourists if you decide to go during the busiest time of year, which is fall.

However, with well-experienced pilots, there is nothing to worry about; just enjoy the scenes of the northern peaks. We will get to Lukla safely, even though doubts and anxieties will inevitably catch up with you. Following our arrival at the airport, we will depart the premises and begin the Everest Base Camp with Gokyo Lakes Trek, following a short preparation session. This is going to be a rather simple journey, with much of the descent being mild. We will arrive at a checkpoint on the outskirts of Lukla settlement, where our permit to enter Sagarmatha National Park will be checked. Soon after, we will reach Phadking village and spend the night there.

Certain aspects of traditional commerce still exist today. Namche Bazaar has a wide variety of goods, so if you're lacking something for the hike, you can get it there. Note that as we gain elevation, even the simplest goods cost double or triple the amount.

It will take us about 2 to 3 hours to reach the viewpoint. There, a stunning, picturesque scene of Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Pumori, Nuptse, Everest, and more awaits us.
